Las Vegas Neil Diamond Tribute Show

ROB GARRETT’S “KING OF DIAMONDS” Vegas residency show keeps going strong in the “MODERN Neil Diamond tribute Las Vegas kids under 12 allowed SHOWROOMS” at Alexis Park Resort Hotel.

Music icon Neil Diamond is one of the most successful and beloved singer/songwriters in pop/rock music history.

More than just being one of the best-selling and most successful live artists ever, he’s also composed the songs of a generation — including some of the most unforgettable songs on the planet.

In the beginning of 2018, shortly before his 77th birthday, Neil Diamond stepped away from live performances after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s.

However, Diamond’s on-stage legacy continues to be preserved for audiences across the globe through tribute artist Rob Garrett, widely regarded as the top Neil Diamond tribute artist.

Ask Alexa “who is America’s number one Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll get the same answer.

Like his legendary counterpart, Rob Garrett was a Brooklyn, New York native.

In May 1974, his parents moved the family from New York City to the Las Vegas Valley, where, in 1976, he witnessed his first live Neil Diamond show when Diamond made his attendance-breaking Las Vegas debut at the Aladdin Hotel’s “Theater for the Performing Arts” in July 1976.

Garrett went on to see him multiple times across the country—right up until Diamond’s last American show at the LA Forum on August 12, 2017.

In 1980, Garrett formed his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a successful 15-year run in Las Vegas and across the nation before making the move from cover band frontman to a tribute artist dedicated to one of his boyhood inspirations.

In 1995, Garrett was hand-picked by the legendary Paul Revere to portray Neil Diamond in the “Legends in Concert” show in Honolulu, Hawaii.

What was meant to be a short engagement turned into a long-term hit show.

By August 1998, Garrett returned home to Las Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another two years before deciding to launch his own show.

He began a busy tour circuit, building a strong worldwide fan community along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds Las Vegas.”

He continues to draw packed houses nationwide, often in venues reserved for national acts.

Garrett has also won numerous awards, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”

“Since Neil Diamond retired, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.

On May 19, 2025 officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating his 50 years living in Las Vegas and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.

Now in 2025, Garrett celebrates 45 years as an active Las Vegas entertainer, with the last 30 years devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.

It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has played in more Vegas rooms than any peer.

Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the only active Neil Diamond tribute production in America.

The Alexis Park Resort is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., about a quarter mile from Paradise Road.
